For 112 years the Women’s Congress of the Hillsdale County Fair has been one of its pleasing educational features. It has no political affiliations. The group arranges programs from a variety of volunteer talent of all ages, scheduled performances by a very talented person or group each afternoon, Monday thru Friday 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at no charge for all fair goers to enjoy. Open Sat. 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. for telling of the history. No formal program.

Programs began in 1896 as oratorical and declamatory contests open to the students of Hillsdale County. While the talent has changed over the years it continues to furnish the opportunity for women, men and children to share cultural and various talent between urban and rural residents of Hillsdale County and those who come from other counties of Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, etc. We believe we are the only Woman’s Congress Organization still in existence throughout the State of Michigan.
